Wanderlust Challenge

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

Register Your Team starting January 1st. (First 25 teams receive Stowe Cider 4-pack of Fresh Press Cider).
Wanderlust Challenge starts Saturday, January 7th through Saturday, February 4, 2023.
Make sure you (or someone else) takes a photo of you or your mascot completing each activity. (For example, Team #5’s mascot might be an action figure, or a banana, while Team #8’s mascot could be their dog.) You or your mascot must be photographed at each completed challenge. By participating, you give Winterfest and Wanderlust permission to publish your photos, including but not limited to its website and social media.
Returning Teams must use a new mascot; a team can earn points one time for each activity (e.g. cannot build two snow forts).
Upload completed activities with picture documentation to waterburywinterfest.com/wanderlust in order to be eligible for fabulous weekly prize drawings!

Create a colored icicle (5 pts)*
Make a snowperson on top of a mailbox (5 pts)*
Make a paper snowflake (5 pts)*
Write a Limerick about Winterfest Snow Ball Dance (10 pts)*
Make your own jigsaw puzzle from picture of Castlerock logo or sign (15 pts) *

Shovel a neighbor’s walkway (25 pts)*

Identify a type of pine tree (10 pts)*
Identify three different animal tracks (15 pts)*
Find a wild turkey, the bird not the booze (15 pts)*
If you can, photograph a live deer (15 pts)*
Visit the top of the majestic Waterbury Dam (15 pts)
Scan the stars with the Orion Starblast telescope, borrowed from the Waterbury Library (15 pts)
Shhh! Find a live snow owl (25 pts)*
