SUMMARY:PARTY IN THE PARK - Snow Volleyball
DESCRIPTION:Please note this event has been cancelled due to concerns about Saturday’s frigid temperatures.\n\nFriendly pick-up competition on a snow covered court for chilly digging\, bumping and striking. \nAll ages are welcome and invited to join in the fun of playing volleyball in the snow. \nNo registration required. Participants must sign a waiver. You can download the waiver here to print and bring with you on the day of the event. Waiver forms will also be available on site. \nDonations to Waterbury Winterfest support advancing access to recreation in the Waterbury Area and are greatly appreciated so we can keep many of the Winterfest events free for families to enjoy.

SUMMARY:3v3 Basketball Tournament
DESCRIPTION:There will be 3 brackets in our FIBA style\, 3×3 basketball tournament based on age (this will potentially be combined into 2 brackets depending on registrations). \n\nU15 years old\n15-17 years old\n18+\n\nAll team members should be within the age range of the bracket that you choose. Brackets may be combined depending on registrations. \nCOST: $30 per team of 3 or 4\nLOCATION: Brookside Primary School Gym\nTIME: 10am-3pm (Specific game times TBD) \nREGISTRATION DETAILS \nADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. ONLY 1 TEAM MEMBER NEEDS TO REGISTER HERE.  \nDuring registration\, you will be asked for a Team Name (you get to make it up!) and the names of your 2 or 3 additional teammates. All players will be required to sign a liability waiver\, provided at the event. Children must be accompanied by an adult. If you do not have enough team members\, feel free to reach out to Waterbury Rec for other contacts (kmandych@waterburyvt.com). \nTOURNAMENT DETAILS \nThis will be a double elimination tournament – each team is guaranteed at least 2 games. Brackets including game times will be posted a week before the tournament. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams in each bracket! \nRegistration Minimum: 4 teams/bracket   |   Maximum: 8 teams/bracket. \nIf we do not meet minimum registration\, the event could not take place. Waterbury Recreation will let registrants know if event is changed. The cancellation policy* does not apply in such circumstances. \n*Cancellation Policy: Cancellations with less than a week’s notice are not refunded. Cancellations with 7 to 30 days notification receive a 75% refund. Cancellations with more than 30 days notice receive a full refund.  \nThis event is organized and hosted by Waterbury Recreation.

DESCRIPTION:All ages welcome to this family-friendly BINGO! event at the Waterbury Area Senior Center.\nHot dogs\, sandwiches\, snacks\, chips\, and bottled water will be available for purchase\, as well as 50/50 raffle tickets. \nMinimum cost to play is $5 for six cards.\nProceeds will benefit both the Senior Center and Winterfest’s grants for recreation programs in Waterbury. Concession opens at noon and players are encouraged to arrive between 12-12:30 so they don’t miss the 1 PM start time. No advance registration required.
